A Year in Hair, a COVID Story

posted in: COVID | 0

This year has definitely been a year that will not be forgotten. I am sure it has produced many stories for each one of us.

In March as COVID started to be a major concern, here in California businesses started to shout down to try to contain the spread. One of those businesses to be forced to shut its doors was Hair Salons.

I have a tendency to go a little long between visits to the the Salon. I keep my hair pretty short as you can tell in the early pictures. The first picture is from January 3rd or 4th of 2020. My last visit so the salon was December 21st. I usually go about 3-4 months before I get my hair cut again. So Corna Virus hit it was not the greatest timing.

I decided to be patient and wait out the Corona Virus. I think in June when We started to open back up I reached out to set an appointment and double booked myself and had to cancel the hair appointment. My hair length was in between the the 4th and 5th picture, very manageable.

When I canceled the appointment I thought to myself I wonder what it would be like if I just let me hair grow, I really didn’t think I would be able to handle my hair through the growth.

Who would have known 9 months after Corona Virus started we would still be in lock down.

I think this an interesting progression of the 2020.

It has been a long secluded year, kind of like being deserted on an island in the middle of nowhere.

What is something you have changed or let go over this last year?

I can't hear you?
