Goodbye To The Windy City

Chicago has treated us well. I am sad to leave but I know I will be back some time in the future. Now I see why Chicago is named the second city because it is the best city in the US besides New York.

Now that is a Hot Dog

A hot dog will never be the same for me after having Chicago dog from Murphy's. I went Murphy's Red Hots and had the best hot dog I have ever had. So what was on it? Onoins, bright green relish, tomato wedge, pickle spear, crazy cool peepers, lettuce, cellery salt and mustard. The dog was a foot long and they sliced it down the middle and char-grilled to perfection. If your are in Chicago make this a stop.

Highlights of a in Chicago

The day started out with failed attempt at seeing a Chicago Bears game. We were in luck becuse the Field musuem was right across the way form Soldier Field. So we checked out that 4 hours. Then we went to the Sears tower ( pics are in the previous post) and walked out on the cubes that stuck out of the building. It was acutually quite crazy to step out into this glass cube and look down see these little people below you. It made me very nervous to look down. It just so happened we were able to see a sunset while we being up in the Sears Tower.

Art institute Chicago

What a big place. We just spent 2 hours in here and saw half of what is here. I got to see some real Monet art and some cool sculptures from long ago.

I just had the best breakfast ever

We were went to The Bongo Room and I ordered 4 berry & white chocolate cheesecake flapjacks. Here is what it is: grahm cracker crusted flapjacks topped with white chocolate cream cheese sauce & topped with four berry coulis.

You would think it would be verry sweet, but it was just right balance witg three pancakes. It was by far the best breakfast I have ever had.
